Another CF-104 Starfighter from Canada, this was 104792 on a stick at CFSATE CFB Borden on 18th May 2011, the weather was doing its best to make me feel back at home!
written off in a crash, 12 Febr. 1976, The CF-104 operated by 441 Squadron, struck a ridge near Bad Driburg, during a low-level radar navigation exercise.
From 1974 until 1982 '818' operated with 334 Skvadron and spent some time as BDR-trainer at Kjevik at the Luftforsvarets Tekniske Skole Senter. The aircraft was scrapped in 2010 with the cockpit section coming to Gardermoen for display.
