A 17(R) Squadron "The Black Knights" Typhoon F.2, from nearby RAF Coningsby, arriving at Waddington for the 2005 airshow, this unit, stood down as the Typhoon OEU on the 17th April 2013. That responsibility transferred to 41(R) Squadron.

Tarnish 17 turns on the keys at Warton ready to depart, anot really visible behind the drop tank, but this Typhoon is carrying a Damocles POD, being tested for use of the Saudi Typhoon fleet, note the jet still wearing 17(R) Sqdn markings.
