The 1991 Mildenhall Air Fete static included a number of aircraft that had taken part in the first Gulf War. This H.P Victor K.2 XM717 was one of those aircraft and she wore "Lucky Lou" nose art.
One of the Kinloss Wing Nimrod MR.2's seen turning on the active at Woodford for departure, it had carried a flight for local ATC units, this was a Sunday movement, so very rare, but most welcome, this jet was scrapped at Kinloss in 2010
All 55 Sqn Victors carried nose art named after the crew chiefs' wives as well as a spear, taken from the unit badge painted on the tail. The nose section is all that survives from this aircraft and 'Lucky Lou' is now on display at the RAF Museum.
