The Rechlin Me 262 has many original parts including the nose cone from a wrecked 4./KG(J) 54 aircraft found buried at Neuburg/Donau airbase in 1983. This Nachbau has the streamlined 'Rennkabine' as seen on the Me 262V9 prototype, (Werknummer 130004).
This full-scale model represents the third prototype of the Ta 154 Moskito. The Ta 154V3, Werknummer (10)0003, first flew on 25 November 1943 from Langenhagen. On the nose the antennae of the FuG 212 Lichtenstein C1 radar can be seen.
'332' of JG-9, NVA-LSK, was damaged beyond repair on 4th November 1988, when the engine caught fire seconds prior take-off from Peenemünde. After years on display at this base, the aircraft is now here at the Luftfahrttechnisches Museum Rechlin.
This aircraft entered service with JBG-77, NVA-LSK, as '119' in November 1984. Although reserialled '25 48', the aircraft never saw active service with the Bundesluftwaffe. '25 48' came to the Luftfahrttechnisches Museum, Rechlin, in 2000.
