During an upcoming thunderstorm this Eagle hit turbulence during landing and smashed to the ground. The pilot escaped unharmed but the brand new aircraft was a write off.
Interim version of the Frisian tail band. Note also the Frisian band on the ventral fin. 'The Hague' had forbidden the tail bands at the time, but had no ban on other locations on the plane.
