This Supermarine Spitfire LF9C (MK356; 5J-K; cnCBAF.IX.1561) is a combat veteran which now operates with the BBMF. She is seen here at the 2014 Southport Airshow.
Spitfire MK356 is now painted to represent Spitfire Mk IXc ML214, coded ‘5J-K’, the personal aircraft of Squadron Leader ‘Johnny’ Plagis, the Commanding Officer of No 126 Squadron from July 1944.
This fabulous Spitfire was one of many nice Warbirds in Buochs due Breitling Event 2001, where the company offers some flights for good clients and resellers from all over the world.
Spitfire LF.IXc MJ143 entered service with 485 (New Zealand) Squadron on 25th October, 1943, at RAF Hornchurch. In July 1946 MJ143 came to the Netherlands for the JVS (Fighter School) with serial H-1 and was later with 322 Squadron as 3W-1.
