VP-11, Pegasus was a frequent sight in Keflavik from the time they received their update Orions, and are here on the usual parking spot. All of their planes on this deployment had the same last digit of the BuNo as the modex or nose number, here 9.

Taking part in Northern Viking 97, this B-52 has to be closely watched while towed arounf the too narrow Keflavik taxiways so that the wingtip wheels do not hit any obstacles.
This Norwegian F-16 just finished taking on fuel from one of the TDY KC-135 tankers based at NAS Keflavik. It was working with the F-15s of the 85th Operations Squadron, that hosted the TDY fighters for six to twelve weeks each.
Just before touchdown on runway 20, this F-16 has markings to commemorate the 45th anniversary of 312 Squadron. It was in Keflavik for Norvik 97. Note the horizontal tail on the F-16 is in line with the fuselage angle, opposed to the F-15s horizontal lie.

The first NATO aircraft to stand watch at Keflavik International Airport after the USAF left were Mirage 2000 from the French AF. They stayed in Iceland for six weeks.
One of the first squadrons to get the P-3B model was VP-24, Batmen, shown here on the ramp at Keflavik in 1968. It arrived at MASDC on Sep 9, 1993 after finishing its USN service.
