This superb Albatros replica from The Vintage Aviator's workshop in New Zealand is in the colour scheme of a D.Va of Jasta 5 as based at Boistrancourt aerodrome in January 1918. The Edelweiss was the personal emblem of Paul Wilhelm Bäumer.
TVAL Albatros D.Va ZK-TGY made the first public display Britain in the hands of New Zealander Keith Skilling. The D.Va is on loan to the WWI Aviation Heritage Trust (WAHT), based at the former RFC aerodrome of Stow Maries near Chelmsford.
Replica built in 2011 and flown in New Zealand, then shipped to the UK. Having completed 11 flying hours, she is now on display in the Grahame-White Factory of RAFM Hendon as Vizefeldwebel Kurt Jentsch’s Albatros of Jasta 61.
