On display at the HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum, Bangalore. The first four Devons were inducted into the IAF in June 1950, forming part of Air Headquarters Communications Squadron at Palam.
The RNZAF received its first two Devons (built as civil Doves) in June and December 1948 for VIP duties with the General Purpose Flight and 42 Squadron at Ohakea. RNZAF Devon remained in service until 1977. NZ1802 became ZK-UFO in October 1977.
NZ1813, a Dove C.1 modified for aerial photography, served with 42 Squadron at RNZAF Ohakea as a communications aircraft before being relegated to GIA as 'INST216' with 4 TTS at RNZAF Base Woodbourne near Blenheim. She came to the MOTAT in September 2010.
After operational service, NZ1804 served as INST214 with 1 TTS at Hobsonville near Auckland. Later the Devon went to the Wanaka Transport Museum. The Devon is seen here in a rather sorry state at Ashburton aerodrome.
