I have always liked the F-16, starting from those brightly painted YF-16 prototypes in 1974. Fifteen years later at the 1989 Mildenhall Air Fete this angle captured the beautifully sculptured lines of Belgian F-16A FA-94.
This Tracker's paint has faded so much that she is showing a ghostly '7Y' tail code of RAW-73, NAS Grosse Ile, MI. The base closed in 1969 and it's units and aircraft moved to NAF Detroit. She became N433DF with the CDF.
7th October 1994, this was a line up of BUFF rear fuselage sections and tail units which had already been guillotined. The 3rd fin from the right is clearly that of B-52F 57-0035 which was last operated by the 93rd BW and entered MASDC November 1978.
Another sectioned BUFF from my 7th October 1994 AMARC tour. I did catch this chopped up B-52D forward fuselage however I was not able to identify her. The tail fin behind her cockpit belongs to 55-0087.
