The first British Eurofighter prototype DA2 just about to touch down at Warton. This aircraft first flew in April 1994 and was finally retired to RAF Coningsby at the end of January 2007.
Here the second Brtiish Eurofighter prototype DA4 is on approach to Warton. This aircraft made its last flight in December 2006 when it was retired to RAF Coningsby.
WG CDR OC of 17 Sqn`s newly upgraded Typhoon on its way home to RAF Coningsby. This jet is the first Block 5 jet for the RAF having been upgraded from Block 2B and also having udergone R2 upgrade, all of which was carried out at BAE Systems Warton
A Harrier GR9 on approach at Warton. This Harrier is one of several retained ny BAE Systems for testing purposes. On the tail is painted the demo colours.
The third Nimrod MRA4 to be built by BAE Systems. In this shot you can clearly see all of the lumps and bumps associated with all of the equipment carried on board this jet.
Here one of BAE Systems Test aircraft Typhoon IPA 1 is seen on Warton`s 26 runway. This Typhoon is carrying four Paveway`s, two air to air missiles and three drop tanks. The centre line tank is a camera tank to observe the load during the flight.
