In the static at the 1989 Mildenhall Air Fete, this KC-135R was operated by the 905th ARS / 319th BW out of Grand Forks AFB, South Dakota. She was painted in the new 'Shamu' colour scheme. Still serving today with the Kansas ANG (2021).

I was always pleased to see the Belgian Mirage on display at airshows in the 80's, such a good looking machine! This Mirage V.BR was operated by 42 Sm/2 Wing. Seen in the show static at the 1989 Mildenhall Air Fete.

Back to Saturday 27th May 1989, a hot and sunny day and also the first day of the Mildenhall Air Fete. This was Hawk T.1 XX176 operated by the CFS out of RAF Valley. Now recorded as stored at Shawbury.

Back to Saturday 27th May 1989, a hot and sunny day and also the first day of the Mildenhall Air Fete. This was Tucano T1 ZF164 which wore no unit markings. I think that this was a very early airshow appearance for the Tucano in service.

Back to a very sunny and warm 1989 Mildenhall Air Fete. This B-1B was operated by the 46th BS / 319th BW. How many B-1B Lancers do you see in a static display which can be photographed from nose tip to tail?

This Boeing EC-135H 'Silk Purse' command post was operated by the 10th ACCS and assigned to SACEUR. She was converted from a KC-135A and the TF-33 turbofans were added later. There were four EC-135H aircraft in this squadron. Now at Sheppard AFB, TX.

Back to the 27th May 1989 and the ever popular Mildenhall Air Fete, this was a Royal Air Force Jaguar GR.1A marked as 41 Squadron 'A' based at RAF Coltishall. Best photo that I could get in the static display.

Back to the 27th May 1989 and the ever popular Mildenhall Air Fete, this Tornado GR.1 was operated by the RAF TWCU / 45 Sqn as '606' out of RAF Honington. She was upgraded to GR.4 standard and is now recorded as 'scrapped'.

Back to the 27th May 1989 and the Mildenhall Air Fete, this was a second KLu F-16B in the static, she was operated by 323 Sqn out of Leeuwarden. She was later supplied to Jordan as '132'.

Back to the 27th May 1989 and the Mildenhall Air Fete, this was a KLu F-16B operated by 315 Sqn out of Twenthe. An early F-16B, she was wfu on 21st September 2020.

Back to the 27th May 1989 and the Mildenhall Air Fete, this was a Danish F-16B ET-022 in the static. Her operating unit was not recorded. She is still in service today (2020).
