In 2012 Peru and South Korea signed a purchase and co-production contract for 6 KT-1P and 10 KA-1P "Torito". The 16 "Torito" were co-produced at the FAP's Maintenance Service (SEMAN) plant in Lima with assistance from KAI.
In 1996 and 2005, USA donated 4 C-26Bs to the FAP for anti-drug operations. Two aircraft were retrofitted and converted to ISR platforms in 2010. The FAP-528 was not retrofitted and maintains its original equipment, a FLIR StarSafire II and a Leica ADS80.
The FAP T-41D aircraft arrived in Peru in 1974. Currently, after more than 40 years as trainers in the FAP, the few surviving Cessna T-41Ds are being modernized in their cockpit and painted in a new gray scheme and are renamed Cessna T -41DM.
This helicopter was used as a presidential helicopter until 2019. In 2018 it was painted with this interesting gray scheme similar to the camouflage scheme used by FAP transport planes. In 2019 this helicopter suffered an accident.
