The difference between a mooncross hit or miss can't be better put in one picture then this one. A two ship taking of from runway24R.

Nice camo Herc with callsign 'OpenSkies19T' reported for full stop this beautiful day. Shortly afterwards it departed again. Clearly vissible is the camera POD on it's left wing.
Photo ID 16479 by Frielink. France Air Force Dassault Mirage IVP, 62
Photo ID: 16479
It's not a Falcon view but a backseat ride in a MirageIVP, hmmmm.
Photo ID 16478 by Frielink. Netherlands Air Force Boeing AH 64DN Apache Longbow, Q 21
Photo ID: 16478
Close up of the equipment installed for testflight. Red wiring and a scope outside the cockpit for calibrating the main rotor blades. For some reason you rarely see pictures of it. Full serial presentation 98-0121 a.k.a. Q-21 is clearly visible.

Some car drivers use the blinding foil but ofcourse garbage sacks can also be used for the same kind of purpose. Even when your navigating in a multi-million dollar combat helicopter.

In the early morning sunlight photography at the Langebergseweg can be fantastic when choppers turn inbound via the closeby 'Lima' taxitrack. Personally this is one of my best AH-64D photos as far as clarity is concerned.

Like it or hate it!
Photo ID 16022 by Frielink. Netherlands Air Force General Dynamics F 16AM Fighting Falcon, J 005
Photo ID: 16022
Performing flare trials at the Cornfield Range. The idea was to pop them in a 3-1-3 order of fashion thus saying it is flying for 313 'Tiger' Squadron. We got the idea, kind of...
Photo ID 15928 by Frielink. UK Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon F2, ZJ910
Photo ID: 15928
Speed leaving without warning. Taking it high into the Belgian skies. Delete the Z and we have the future Dutch Fighter J-910. Aahhh scrap the JSF and buy European instead. It flies, it works and it's compatible. Figure it out...
Photo ID 15886 by Frielink. Switzerland Air Force Northrop F 5E Tiger II, J 3079
Photo ID: 15886
A couple of very nice Tigers taxiing out of their mountain hiding to go and get some in the frisk early morning air. Although the wingman seems to enjoy a bit of chill.
Photo ID 15873 by Frielink. UK Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon F2, ZJ910
Photo ID: 15873
Turning into a nice roll after departure. This Typhoon showed the photographers at the beginning of KB's runway what it is capable off. Certainly qualifies as the best departure for me that day at that end. I like!!
Photo ID 15848 by Frielink. Netherlands Air Force Boeing AH 64DN Apache Longbow, Q 10
Photo ID: 15848
It's not often an operational AH-64 Apache can be photographed with full color batch.
Photo ID 15759 by Frielink. Switzerland Air Force McDonnell Douglas F A 18C Hornet, J 5025
Photo ID: 15759
18mm plus the regular 1.6 crop factor. How close do you want to get? This Hornet is just about to pass the little bridge enroute to the platform and then to be towed into places where the sun don't shine, and where spotters are very unwelcome...

Photo ID: 15731
This might belong in the 'all wheather capable' category. Rooky pilot hiding out behind the hill in dreadfull rain succesfully practising slope landings. And while at it they seem to have some camera image on me as well. I'd like to see it!

Photo ID: 15300
Last one from a formation of four 'Redskins' landed on the main runway at the end of the mission because it had some kind of minor malfunction. It's not often one can photograph an Apache with a 15second shutter opening.

Gilze is the place to be for close contact Apache photography.
