Peter Teichman in his weathered P-40 over Shuttleworth aerodrome. Built for the RCAF as a Kittyhawk III (RCAF840), the aircraft later acquired the identity of RCAF877. In recent years the P-40 was part of The Fighter Collection at Duxford.
The Avro Tutor entered service in the RAF as a trainer aircaft in 1933. This aircraft is part of the Shuttleworth Collection and displayed in style and nice light during the Evening Show.
The arrestor hook of this Sea Hurricane is clearly visible on its underside. During the Shuttleworth's Evening Display the last light of the day was beautifully shed on the aircraft in the display.
During 1944/45 16 sqn based at Melsbroek (B) repainted some of their recce Spitfires pink as this proved to be a better camouflage for low and medium altitude in the hazy European skies
