Dan Friedkin at the controls of P-51D 44-74391. The Mustang is in the markings of Capt. Henry W. 'Baby' Brown, 354th FS, 355th FG, flying from nearby Steeple Morden. He was shot down and captured on 3 October 1944.

For only a short time Lt William T. Whisner’s first P-51B (serial 42-106449) had the name ‘Princess Elisabeth’ on the port side of the nose, before reverting to ‘Moonbeam McSwine’. Of note are his first two aerial and two ground victory markings.

Spitfire Ia AR213 has been repainted in the markings of 71 (Eagle) Squadron, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the USAAF's Eighth Air Force arriving at RAF Duxford. P7308/XR-D was flown regularly by P/O William 'Bill' Dunn, one of the unit's aces.

Dan Friedkin warming up the Merlin of his P-51K-10NT 'Fragile but Agile', as flown by 2nd Lt Bert Lee, of the 342nd FS, 348th FG, out of San Marcelino AB, Luzon, in the Philippines, 1945. The correct serial, 44-12016, is on the starboard side of the fin.
