An F-117 Nighthawk captured during the magic hour at Nellis AFB. Unfortunately this type of aircraft is no longer in service with the USAF. This aircraft is stored at the Tonopah Test Range since its retirement.
Rainer's photo #38954 reminded me that I had this scan of 38+38 soon after its arrival at the 20th FS. I shot several other F-4Fs that wore the unusual combination of Norm 81B camo and USAF tail codes, but only this one had the colourful ACM panels.
Just a few days later this Eagle was badly damaged by a bird strike. It was later transported by road to Soesterberg, where a C-5 transported it back to the States. Eventually repaired, now resting at AMARC
