Two among the large number of ex French Air Force T-33s (at least 15) passed by Aviano on delivery to Turkey that year. The 314-VE French serial is still visible. The other one is 51-6868 (possibly 314-XE).
LW Werft 11 Erding, ex AB763, serial 53-5562, The T-33A was procured in 1956, making it the first jet aircraft of the Federal German Air Force. The "Shooting Star" was used until 1976.
Long-term resident at the Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum is ex-Belgian FT-36 (USAF 55-3047) The T-33 came via Sculthorpe to the museum in September 1981.
