Still wearing the markings of her last operator, the New Jersey ANG 119th FIS / 177th FIG, this 'Six' went on to be converted to a QF-106 drone (AD224). She was shot down by a Stinger on 10th Oct 10 1996.

This 'family model' Delta Dart was operated by the 325th FWW out of Tyndal AFB before she was retired to MASDC in Nov 83. Almost exactly ten years later she was taken out of store and converted to QF-106B drone standard as 'AD-264'.

1987 saw the final F-106 Delta Darts entering AMARC and the skies no longer thundered with the sound of the Delta Dart in regular USAF service. In this photo tail fin markings show former ownership by the 5th, 49th and 87th Fighter Interceptor Squadrons.
Not all the F-106 Delta Darts wore colourful markings. This F-106B 57-2539 photographed in AMARC in February 1987 looked to be quite a "Plain Jane" and most likely last served with the Air Defence Weapons Centre (ADWC) at Tyndall AFB.
Caught during a Photographers Tour of AMARC in February 1987 this F-106A 59-0066 wears the markings of the 87th FIS who were based at K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan. The triple red bands suggest that she was a "Boss Bird". She 'died' on 22nd Sept 1995.
Newly arrived at AMARC when photographed in early 1987 this former 159th FIS / FL ANG 'Six Pack' was converted to QF-106A standard in 1991 and was most likely blasted out of the sky on the 19th Feb 1992.
