This UH-60A from the Washington National Guard is parked in a farmer's field in Leavenworth, WA as it awaits fair weather to fight the Table Mountain Fire raging in Central Washington.
Mission Accomplished! After fighting the Taylor Bridge wildfire non-stop for a week, the National Guard crews are cleared to go home to JBLM, still sporting their "mission markings".
The fire crews on the ground were having trouble spotting the Guard helos in the smoke and trees, so I went and got some tempura paint to "decorate" them. It worked great!
