There is still a lot to do (new cockpit, interior fitting etc) before this aircraft will join the active Royal Netherlands Air Force fleet. But after spending so much time on the ground it is really nice to finally see this bird in the air more often.

After spending more than a year at Eindhoven doing nothing this 3th RNLAF DC-10 flew to Rome for maintenance and a much needed paint job. On May 30th the aircraft returned to its home base in the now familiar grey paint scheme.

Still in old United colors and stored at a cold and wintry Eindhoven, awaiting the day it will become a flying member of the Netherlands Air Force.
