Flaring to land right behind us. Taken from aircraft #3 in a four-ship formation of UH-60's of Charlie Company, 1-140th, Washington Army National Guard.
Mission Accomplished! After fighting the Taylor Bridge wildfire non-stop for a week, the National Guard crews are cleared to go home to JBLM, still sporting their "mission markings".
The fire crews on the ground were having trouble spotting the Guard helos in the smoke and trees, so I went and got some tempura paint to "decorate" them. It worked great!
