Mi-24V called "Kosta" leads the group from 221./222. vrl (hel. sq.), 22. zVrl (hel.AFB) Namest nad Oslavou on departure from Days of NATO 2015. Retro c/s reminds the Liberator GR.VI EV953 PP-K from 311.sq. RAF. Two Mi-171Sh have tc. nrs. 9926 and 9904.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two, the Czech AF has painted an Mi-24V (3370) in special marks, replicate those of an RAF 311 Sqn Liberator GR Mk. VI, coded PP-K (EV 953).
"Kost'a" - a new flagship of the 221. helicopter squadron at Namest nad Oslavou AB. "Kost'a" was the nickname of the 311 Sqn commander Wg Cdr Jan Kostohryz, who flew the first Liberator GR Mk. VI into Czechoslovakia on 20 August 1945.
