A lot of history here - famous Vampire in formation with the 'new' PC-7 Team of Switzerland, flying with modified aircrafts called NCPC-7 (New Cockpit PC-7) now, over the airfield of St. Stephan (last military activity 1993 with Hunter).

Hornet 231 crashed less than then months later, killing both pilots, near Crans-Montana - only a few miles away from where this photo was taken. During Sion'97 Airshow this aircraft was in the static display, delivered only 5 months before.

10 years before this picture was taken, MIRO 306 was damaged due to a collission with trees near La Brevine. But normally, those Mirages where flying higher, up to 26'000m. Only the Recce-Mirages III RS's (called AMIR) where regulary flying on threelevel.

'EMIR 12' should have her 1st flight in civil markings this month (september 2008) in Payerne - where she's ready for takeoff here 11 years ago together with MIRO J-2333.

Take-Off like an Hornet ! With the help of eight JATO-rockets, MIRO 303's climbs with 3600 kg extraboost. Those rockets work only for max. 14 seconds, but are very impressive.

One of the new TH-05 Helicopters as replacement for the Alouette III in duty of Swiss Air Force. Official delivery began on 7th of March and all 20 Helicopters (2 EC135P2 and 18 EC635P2) will be delivered by 2010.

Tiger'94 taxies out of an HAS to depart for another mission, fighting Hornets. This specific aircraft has now nearly 2500 flighthours and over 4000 landings logged in service of Swiss Air Force.
