Experimental Autogiro on display in the Vertical Flight exhibition at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum. These series of Autogiros were difficult to handle, leading to several accidents.

On display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, NASM. The Uhu was the best night-fighter produced in World War II. Only 294 were constructed, but they achieved deadly results against Bomber Command. This Uhu from I/NJG 1 was captured at Grove, Denmark.

'Flak-Bait' undergoing restoration at the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. This B-26 flew 207 missions over Europe, the most by any USAAF bomber. Gen. Arnold decided to preserve this veteran of D-Day and V-1 missions.

On display at the Barron Hilton Pioneers of Flight Gallery at the National Air and Space Museum. The R3C-1 won the Pulitzer Trophy for landplanes in 1925, and with floats added on, won the Schneider Cup for seaplanes as the R3C-2 in the same year.

On display aboard USS Intrepid. This Demon is from VF-41 'Black Aces' flying off USS Independence. VF-41 flew the Demon from 1957-62, having embarked once on USS Intrepid. The squadron moved from this all-weather missile fighter to the F-4B Phantom II.

On display aboard USS Intrepid. This immaculately restored Fury is in the colors of VF-33 'Tarsiers' that flew from USS Intrepid. The squadron took part in NATO exercise Operation Strikeback from the carrier in 1957.

On display aboard USS Intrepid with New York's skyline in the background. This Kfir was used by VMFT-401 'Snipers' from 1987 to 1989 to provide dissimilar air combat training. VMFT-401 is the only adversary squadron in the United States Marine Corps.

This Crusader is painted to represent Lt. Toni Nargi's aircraft from USS Intrepid that was credited with a missile kill of a North Vietnamese MiG-21 on Sept. 19, 1968. VF-111 'Sundowners' was deployed aboard USS Intrepid during Operation Rolling Thunder.

Only complete Valiant out of 107 built that survives at RAF Museum Cosford, which also has on display a Victor and a Vulcan. XD818 from No. 49 Sqn. dropped Britain's first live H-bomb in 1957 during Op. Grapple. It was converted to a tanker in 1961.
