The two helicopter types of the Danish Army flying together. The Hughes 369HM was a spotter heli, while the AS-550C2 had tank killer capabilities. The 369 is now wfu.
Freshly arrived in Europe this A-10 made its first appearance at the Twente Open Day in 1979. Those fresh light grey colors look far better than the current paint scheme.
Due to a high loss rate and lots of maintenance this was the only airworthy Mirage F.1 in 1993. Much has improved afterwards not the less by the purchase of some former Qatar and French Air Force trainers.
After the F-16 had entered service the F-104 Starfighter got a less glamorous task of target towing. D-6652 comes in for landing fitted with the red target towing pods. This aircraft has also the badge of the target towing flight (TTF) of the tail.
Turtmann was an airfield with a strange lay out with a public road between the runway and the taxiway. Note there is no fence between the aircraft and the truck. The runway can be seen in the background. Unfortunately Turtmann was closed in 2003.
In 1999 French Super Etendard participated in the maritime exercise "Northern Lights". Note the laser designator pod underneath the aircraft and the Kosovo mission markings on the nose.
In the twilight of its career the NF-5 became a performer for the crowds. Due to the 75th anniversary of the Dutch Air Force the display team "Double Dutch" was formed. The display was flown by a pair of NF-5's.
