While photographing the F-15Cs from the 1 FW, that were going to be part of the 57th FIS, I got a chance to photograph these F-15As from the 48th FIS of the local ANG unit.
The second Tomcat that I saw this day taking off that day climbs into the overcast sky. Not the best day for photography, but one has to take the conditions in ones stride. Not often that you get a personal guided tour of Oceana.
A thunderstorm is brewing in the background with the sun still shining on the airfield. Taken when visiting the 1st FW at Langley to view and photograph the F-15Cs that were due to join the 57th FIS at Keflavik later that year.
