My October 1994 tour found this F-111D 68-0137 pcn FV 142 'CC' last operated by the 523rd FS / 27th TFW out of Cannon AFB, NM. She was retired November 1992, scrapped 29th May12 at HVF West.
S-2E Bu.No 149873 pcn 1S 441 as 'NW-205' last operated by VS-82 "Fighting Yellow Tails", a Naval Air Reserve squadron which was established in 1970 and disestablished in 1976. She entered MASDC in January 1974 and then allocated to USDA as N512DF.
This former US Coast Guard HC-130B serial 1344 pcn 45 001 was formerly operated out of Elizabeth City, she entered store in July 1982. She went out to National Aircraft in June 1996. I think the Herk behind her is 1340.
I believe this to be former USCG HH-3F Pelican 1481 pcn 44 025 operated out of Clearwater which entered AMARC September 1992 and went to National Aircraft September 1995.
An interesting shot from 8th October 1994, the Skywarrior, or 'Whale', appears to be TA-3B Bu.No 144860 '00' believed last operated by VQ-1 and retired January 1990. Recorded as transferred to Consolidated Aero Corp April 1997.
This EKA-3B Skywarrior Bu.No 142654 'AA-610' pcn 2A 075 was last operated by VAQ-135 Det.2 based at Whidbey Island, WA. She was retired in August 1973 and in this photo taken 19 years later is still looking quite complete. She has since been scrapped.
Back to 8th October 1994 and this was TA-3B Skywarrior Bu.No 144859 pcn 2A 122 marked as 'GD-122' last operated by VAQ-33 out of NAS Key West, FL. She entered AMARC July 1990 and has since been scrapped by HVS West.
Back to 8th October 1994 and another snap from a speeding Air Force bus, this was A-7D 69-6214 pcn AE 169 last operated by the 198th FS of the Puerto Rico ANG. She entered AMARC in July 1992 and left for the scrap yard in November 1996.
This is a very short-lived A-7K 'Twosair' serial 79-0462 last flown by the 188th TFS of the New Mexico ANG. She was retired August 1992 and scrapped May 2012.
At rest after a relatively short but active service career, this A-7D Corsair II 73-0997 was operated by the 166th TFS / 121st TFW Ohio ANG out of Rickenbacker, OH. The 121st TFW was part of the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force (RDJTF).
Not too far from The Land of Enchantment, this former New Mexico ANG A-7D 75-0388 entered store August 1992. Her service life was relatively short by today's standards.
Another former PRANG A-7D Corsair II in store on 8th October 1994, this was 71-0308. She entered store in August 1992 and went to National Aircraft Inc in April 1997. I have kept this scan wide to show just how many of these aircraft were stored.
F-111G 68-0255 pcn FV 127 last operated by the 428th FS / 27th FW out of Cannon AFB, NM. She was retired 23rd September 1992 and when seen here two years later her 'CC' code appeared to have been painted over and all spraylat removed. Scrapped 25 Jul 2012
