Be-Deviler AJ-114 had a brief career in the RAF with 74 Squadron at RAF Wattisham as F-4J(UK) ZE359. Seen here in Hangar 3 in her former VF-74 markings as flown by Lt. Irwin Nelson and Lt. Pogo Reid from the USS America during Linebacker I in 1972.

TD314 entered RAF service with 183 Squadron in June 1945 and transferred to 234 Squadron at RAF Bentwaters on 26 July 1945. The BHHH/Aero Legends Spitfire wears 234's marks, with its crown badge and St. George's cross on the port side beneath the cockpit.

SL633 is back in her former Czech Air Force markings as operated by 4 SLP of 2 LD at Ceské Budejovice from February 1946, although with blue spinner cap in stead of the red one seen here. 2 LD emblem is on the cowling. The Spitfire was restored by HFL.

TFC's latest acquisiton, P-36C NX80FR restored by Matt Nightingale at Chino, California, arrived just in time for Flying Legends 2015. After reassembly was completed in the first July weekend, the P-36 was air tested by Steve Hinton on the 7th.

On the 24th May, 1940, P/O Pete Cazenove of 92 Squadron made a wheels-up landing on the beach near Calais, France. Forty years later, the Spitfire was recovered and restored to her former glory by Historic Flying Ltd. at Duxford, flying again in 2011.

S/L Geoffrey D. Stephenson, CO of 19 Squadron, belly-landed N3200 on the beach near Sangatte, France, on 26 May, 1940. The wreck was recovered in 1986 and rebuilt by Historic Flying Ltd. N3200 took to the Duxford skies again on 26 March, 2014.

This former JG 1 He 162 was captured by British forces at Leck air base in Northern Germany in the spring of 1945. The Volksjäger was shipped to the UK in August 1945, but unlike other captured examples, 120235 was not flown by the British.

On the 30th September 1940 'Weiße 4' of 4./JG 26 made a forced landing in a field near East Dean after combat with RAF fighters over Beachy Head. The Bf 109 is on display in Duxford's Hangar 4.

Dakota Norway's LN-WND (ex USAAF 42-68823) representing one of the aircraft of No. 20 Transport Squadron at Oslo Fornebu in June 1945. The unit formed the basis for the post war Norwegian civil air transport network as well as the RNoAF's 335 Skvadron.

Rob Davies in his C-11 finished in a colour scheme similar to that of the Lavochkin La-5FN’s of the 322 IAD, Sovjet Air Force. ‘Mongolian Warrior’ titles adorned many of the Division’s La-5’s. A number of aircraft were presented by the Mongolian People.

P-51D 44-73656 in the colours of Whisner's P-51D 44-14237. He scored 10.5 victories in this aircraft during his second tour with the 352nd FG at RAF Bodney. On 21 November 1944 he downed 5 Fw 109’s, with another 4 Luftwaffe aircraft on 5 January 1945.

For only a short time Lt William T. Whisner’s first P-51B (serial 42-106449) had the name ‘Princess Elisabeth’ on the port side of the nose, before reverting to ‘Moonbeam McSwine’. Of note are his first two aerial and two ground victory markings.

Former North Weald-based Avenger at Flying Legends 2013 in the colours of a VMTB-132 TBM-3E from USS Cape Gloucester during the later stages of the Pacific War. Converted postwar to TBM-3R carrier transport, the Avenger now has her dorsal turret refitted.

Nakajima built Zero 'BI-05' was evaluated by the ATAIU-SEA in Malaysia after hostilities ended. Shipped to the UK in 1947, only the cockpit section was preserved and went on display at the IWM in South Lambeth. Seen here in temporary storage at Duxford.

TFC's Nick Grey returning to the Duxford flight line after a test flight in P-40B '284'. This rare warbird served with the 73rd Pursuit Squadron, 18 PG, at Wheeler Field, Oahu at the time of the Japanese air attacks on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Spitfire Ia AR213 has been repainted in the markings of 71 (Eagle) Squadron, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the USAAF's Eighth Air Force arriving at RAF Duxford. P7308/XR-D was flown regularly by P/O William 'Bill' Dunn, one of the unit's aces.

Duxford is the home of Spitfires TD248 and BM597. The latter is owned by the Historic Aircraft Company, whilst TD248 is now in the hands of Richard Lake's Spitfire Ltd.
