When the new generation Harrier was introduced 20[R] sqn was the first to operate this aircraft. Later this airframe was converted from Harrier GR.5 to Harrier GR.7, adding the distinctive bumps on the nose cone. Seen on the Brize Norton photo call.
In the early '80s the Royal Air Force bought VC-10 G-ASGD and ZD232 was allotted. It became an instructional airframe however, as 8699M. After being stripped of all usable parts this aircraft was scrapped in 1994
The VF-103 "Sluggers" CO bird from CVW-17 onboard the USS Saratoga is seen in the static at the 92 Brize Airshow, VF-103 became the Jolly Rogers in Oct 95 when VF-84 disbanded, this Tomcat was w/o 17th March 2000.
