22nd Gr./51st Stormo; taken on landing after the display during the 50th Anniversary of the 51st Stormo. Only half of the aircraft is painted in special colours, the other side being painted in the usual grey/green camo.
155th Gruppo - 51st Stormo. Landing at her home Base with a sharkmouth adorned SUU-21 dispenser after a mission on the Maniago range. Barely visible is a 28th Gruppo yellow badge "zapped" near the 155th one.
103° Gruppo/2° stormo. After the Frecce Tricolori transition on the MB-339A the G-91s were transferred to 2° Stormo, included this old pointed nose G-91PAN (Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale).
22° Gruppo/51° Stormo. Nose down emergency landing with the throttle locked at 100% RPM. The a/c engaged the barrier resting close to the runway end on the wheels rims, having lost the tyres in the desperate braking. A/c later repaired.
155° Gruppo/51° Stormo. The S version of the F-104 was fitted with the EAID (Engine Auxiliary Inlet Doors). The doors were opened only during take off to provide an increased air supply to the J79-GE-19 engine for added thrust in hot conditions.
