After undergoing the first part of some major modifications at the Fokker factory at Woensdrecht this Fokker 60 is photographed back at his home base. Most obvious difference is the big radar dome underneath the fuselage.
Although in service for more than 40 years now, the few remaining RNLAF Alouette 3 helicopters are still going strong. One of their main activities these days are flights for the Dutch royal family.
In the late 1990´s this F-16 was assigned to the RNLAF Display Team. After a Mid Life Update it operated from Twenthe in its normal grey outfit. The aircraft crashed during a mission in Afghanistan on 31 August 2006, tragically killing the pilot.
Between January and August 2004, a Royal Netherlands Air Force Fokker 60 deployment, based in Jordanian, operated for the United Nations. As a result special titles were added to two of the aircraft. The U-02 is seen here at his home base Eindhoven.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of 334sqn special colors were added to the tail of this KDC-10. Unfortunately they were quickly removed again as RNLAF staf members were not so pleased with these markings.
