I had this opportunity to photograph all three of the ICG Super Pumas from a hilltop outside Reykjavik. I was put there by the first of them and then they came by.
After the three Super Pumas had finished their posing, TF-SYN posed a bit for me. It is looking rather well in its new colors, having arrived from overhaul in Norway the day before.
Taken from the top of a mountain in the vicinity of Reykjavík, which can be seen in the mist in the background. The crew landed and let me out, and then did their thing in the slopes of the mountain. Great training and a photo opportunity costing nothing.
This leased Super Puma, LN-OBX arrived in Reykjavík on Saturday, October 7, 2011. This photo was taken of it during the first flight with two Icelandic pilots. The photo ship was Dauphin, TF-SIF.
The Coast Guard did a very impressive showing during the 2013 Akureyri airshow, and many of the spectators had never seen a fast reverse by a helicopter and were impressed.
The Super Puma is landing to pick up the photographer in the snowy mountains of South Iceland during a photo mission with a French NH90, seen on other photos on this site.
