The Mustang remained in military service in the United States Air Force until 1957 and the last combat Mustang was retired by the Dominican Air Force in 1984. Mustangs remain popular in civilian hands with nearly 100 flying in private hands!

Despite the improvement over the P-39 the P-63 was still inferior to other fighters that were in production for the Army Air Force and very few Kingcobras entered service with the U.S. military and none saw combat! Thia one is leased from a private owner!

Following on from it's service with the USAAF, this C-47B saw service with the Belgian Air Force, French Air Force and Israeli Air Force before returning to the USA. It now wears it's original USAAF colours, and can be seen at the Estrella Warbird Museum.
