Two-seat Hornet ‘929 from 410 Sqn received tail markings in 1996 for the 25th Anniversary of 1 Air Maintenance Squadron at CFB Cold Lake. It was used as a demo aircraft at the Reno Air Races.
410 Squadron’s demo jet for 1993 was the first CF-18 demo aircraft with airbrushed markings. Given that the previous year’s “special scheme” was a red Maple Leaf tail flash on standard grey markings, this Cougar tail caused a stir when it appeared.
