during rehersal this Su-30MK came out to low from a spin maneuver and damaged its thrust vectoring nozzles on the ground. It still gained some altitude before both pilots ejected and landed safely. Contrary to the aircraft, that simply fell back to earth.

The Buran prototype OK-GLI, shown in the Technik Museum Speyer, was built in 1984 and was used for testing gliding-flight and landing after re-entry into the atmosphere. 25 atmospheric flights were made between 1984 and 1989.
