This 71st SOS CH-3E 'Jolly Green Giant' was photographed spooling up on the ramp at Davis-Monthan AFB early on a Saturday morning in November 1989. A Vietnam veteran, this particular machine saw action in that theatre and flew the 2nd H-3 rescue mission.
