This is a very short-lived A-7K 'Twosair' serial 79-0462 last flown by the 188th TFS of the New Mexico ANG. She was retired August 1992 and scrapped May 2012.
Back to October 1999, this was A-7K 80-0288 coded AE 062 last operated by the 149th TFS Virginia ANG. She entered AMARC 24th September 1991. She had 'Elvira' artwork applied under the rear cockpit. Scrapped May 2012.
A row of LTV A-7 Corsair II's, L/H front is A-7K 81-0074 and R/H is A-7K 81-0077. Some interesting Navy Corsairs behind them. The A-7K's entered AMARC late 1992 so they were only in service for just over 10 years, what a waste of a fine aircraft.
The Mildenhall Air Fetes always used to produce a couple of interesting visitors on deployment to Europe and 1987 was no exception with a pair of 107th TFS Michigan ANG Corsair II's included. The impressive A-7K 70-0291 was on show in the static.
