Since 2003 this Base is a so called Sleeping Base - with some military activity some times. Here a Hawk on a short flight to save it from damage due long groundtime.

Another special marking shows the flags of Wallis (for Sion), Lucerne and Emmen. Hawk's where mainly used in Emmen and Sion, the latter also one of the 'homes' of fine wine in Switzerland. New on database

One of the three Hawks ready for Cockpit modifications by RUAG that day. In Switzerland the Hawks where introduced in 1991 and the last official flight took place on 13th December 2002, see also the writing below cockpit. Used now by Finnish Air Force.

In Switzerland the Hawks where introduced in 1991 and the last official flight took place on 13th December 2002. Seen during a changeover of three Hawks in between EMM and BUO for Cockpit modifications by RUAG. Now in use by the Finnish Air Force.
