This Fury ran off the same runway narrowing missing the Viper already down in the same area. The robustness of NAVY landing gear is apparent. The pilot was not injured. The Fury was towed back to the line on July 29 but did not fly.
Prior to being put on display in the National Museum of Naval Aviation, NAS Pensacola, FJ-4B (or F-1E) Fury Bu.No 139486 wore this US Navy paint scheme. She was in the static at the 1989 Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow at Pensacola.
