'till 1999 Buochs was Mirage-County. AMIR'16 seen during take-off during last repetition course together with Mirage IIIS. A year later the AMIR's where based here together with F-5 Tiger II.
A very rare sight: a Mirage at Turtmann. From 1968 to 1975 Mirage IIIS were based on Turtmann, They made way for Tigers and Hunters during their annual three weeks training course. This Mirage came along for just one touch and go. Thanks!
The Mirage shows its "Mata Hari" nose art. In the Swiss AF nose art is common on the last aircraft of a production series. In the background is the distinct church tower of Buochs.
Lucky for me, the Mirages made a second pass - during the first I haven't seen them before this autumn scenery. R-2104 uses her airbrakes for staying in position.
