N610LC first saw light as Beaver AL.1 XP776 and served with 8 Independent Recce Flight at RAF Eastleigh, Kenya, in the early 1960s. Registered N610LC in 2004, the aircraft was sadly lost on 9 August 2015, on a flight from Akureyri to Keflavik.
Although painted in US Air Force markings now, this Beaver actually started out with the British Army before changing hands a few times and ending up with the HFF.
In Feb '96, as a float plane, it impacted water near Ashland, OR causing substantial damage but no injuries. Air worth cert. reissued Sept '96. Dec '99, reg as N690 to John Deal LLC or Yarrow Point, WA.

The original Beaver NZ6001 was one of two aircraft serving on the ice from 1956 with the Trans-Antarctic Expedition and was lost in white-out conditions on the Beardmore Glacier on 15 January 1960. The 2 crew were rescued 5 days later by Auster NZ1707.
