V7497 was attacked by Bf 109s over Deal on 28 September, 1940. P/O Everett Bryan Rogers, 501 Squadron, RAF Kenley, bailed out unhurt. The Hurricane came down near East Sutton in Kent. G-HRLI took to the air again on 30 August 2018.
P3351, seen during WOW2008, has since been exported to Europe but was again offered for sale early in 2022. A return to NZ skies would be highly appreciated. Unfortunately there will be no Warbirds over Wanaka 2022. Next edition: Easter 2024.
R4118 is operated by Hurricane Heritage and based here at Old Warden. The Gloster Brockworth-built machine saw active service during the Battle of Britain with 605 Squadron, initially from RAF Drem, but from 6 September 1940 from RAF Croydon.

One of the stars of Warbirds over Wanaka 2008, Hurricane I P3351 left New Zealand in 2013 and is now residing in France. P3351 was dispatched to France on 1st June, 1940, as an attrition replacement to 73 Squadron, based at Echemines near Rouen.
Stu Goldspink flying the Hurricane Heritage R4118. Built by the Gloster Aircraft Company it was delivered new to 605 Squadron on 17 August 1940 at the height of the Battle of Britain. Based at Croydon, pilots of R4118 claimed 5 enemy aircraft damaged.
