Esq 201 "Falcões" from Monte Real visiting Twenthe for a squadron exchange. During the first period following their introduction in 1977, the Portuguese Talons carried FMS serials, in this case 61-0868.
The visitor's ramp at Randolph AFB one day early 1987. The Talons are believed from the 14th, 71st and 82nd FTWs, the TA-4J is from TW-3 at Chase Field.
A very welcome visitor at Gateway was this T-38A Talon from the 509th BW at Whiteman AFB, MO. The type is used to keep the crews of the B-2A Spirit current.
This dark grey painted Talon entered AMARC in June 1994 and when photographed four months later still looked fresh in. The 'MO' tail code and the 'Gunfighters' band indicates that she was last operated by the 366th Wing out of Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
