Formerly operated by the 160th TFS / 187th TFG Alabama ANG out of Dannelly Field, Montgomerey, this 'Rhino' had been replaced in service by the F-16 just a year earlier. One source states that she left AMARC to be used by the US Army at Laquey, MO.

Previously operated by the 127th TFTS / 184th TFTG Kansas ANG 'Jayhawks' out of McConnell AFB, this F-4D entered AMARC in 1987 when replaced by the F-16A/B. She has since been marked as SOC, presumably scrapped.

Last operated by the 93rd TFS 'Florida Makos', an AFRES unit then based at Homestead AFB FL, this F-4D shows just how lo-vis military markings had become by the late 80's.

This F-4D was operated by the 307th TFS / 31st TFW based at Homestead AFB FL, entering AMARC in March 1988. She is recorded as sold to National for scrap in 1997, her nose section has survived and is being restored for static display.

Still wearing the markings of her last operator, the 'Happy Hooligans' 178th FIS / 119th FIG North Dakota ANG based at Fargo, this F-4D went on to Holloman AFB, NM for use as a target on the 12th Jan, 1998.

Formerly operated by the 127th TFTS / 184th TFTG of the Kansas ANG and still proudly marked 'Jayhawks', this worn F-4D had been in store in AMARC for just under a year when photographed in November 1989.

Retired to AMARC in August 1988 this F-4D still wore the markings of the Illinois ANG 170th TFS / 183rd TFG, the first ANG unit to fly the mighty Phantom II. Eight years after this photo was taken she was scrapped.

When photographed in AMARC in late 1989 this former Homestead AFB based 93rd TFS (AFRES) F-4D had been in store for just under a year. The 'FM' code is probably related to the squadron name 'Florida Makos'.

Her name 'City of Wilmington' is just still visible and she has been in store for less than a year. Previously operated by the AFRES 89th TFS 'Rhinos' this F-4D was traded in for the F-16, and then the C-141. She was scrapped in 1997.

When photographed in AMARC in late 1989 this former Bergstrom AFB based 704th TFS (AFRES) F-4D had been in store for just under a year. Sadly she was sold for scrap nine years later. Her camouflage scheme is non-standard.

Formerly operated by the 121st TFS / 113th TFW District of Columbia ANG, this colourful but technically lo-vis F-4D Phantom had been in AMARC for less than a year. She was sold for scrap in May 1997.

This former CA ANG F-4D had been in store for less than a year when photographed in late 1989. She was spared the smelter and can now be seen displayed on a pylon at Navarro College, Corsicana, TX, painted in Thunderbird markings.
