An Iraqi AF MiG-21 seen on overhaul at the Flugzeugwerft in Dresden. Due to an embargo, this aircraft never returned to Iraq. The cockpitsection is preserved at a museum in Neuenkirchen, Germany. 8715 is also Iraqi.
Lots of MiG-21 grouped together at different dispersal. During this visit more than 60 different MiGs were identified of which many were stored. Here a dispersal with some still active MiGs.
Before a flying day starts the groundcrews are gathered in
a military line-up to be briefed on that days operating procedures and specials.
The big pile of chutes gives an indication of the number of missions planned for that day.
