Leaving from a Veteran's Day visit at the Museum of Flight. "My Old Lady" was supposed to be retired and signed over to the MoF on this day, but due to a delay in paperwork, the retirement has been put on hold, necessitating her return to JBLM.

My Old Lady settles in to land in front of the Museum of Flight. Tours were given today in perpetration of her being put on permanent display at the MoF. She is currently the oldest Chinook flying in the world.

91-0261 is the oldest flying Chinook left in the world. She "previewed" her future home for a few hours before flying back to JBLM. In November, she will make her last flight to BFI, where she will be put on permanent display in the MoF.

Showing the ragged paint and war-torn look of a true combat veteran. My Old Lady last deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, and has since fought numerous wildfires in Eastern Washington.

"My Old Lady" was the 8th CH-47A Chinook to roll off of the assembly line, and is currently the oldest aiframe of any type in the US Army inventory. Now retired from duty, she will be donated to the Seattle Museum of Flight and put on permanent display.

This Chinook, Originally CH-47A 61-2409, is the oldest airframe in the entire United States Army inventory. The 1-168th recently transitioned to new-build CH-47F's, but have kept "My Old Lady" and one other CH-47D in inventory.
