BGA400, often referred to as the 'Radar Kite', is in the colours of No.1 Glider Training School as based at RAF Thame (Haddenham) in Buckinghamshire. On 23 March 1945 RAF serial VD165 was allocated to this Kite.

BGA400 has been restored with the wings of Kite c/n 355A, built by Slingsby in May 1940 for radar trails held by the Worth Matravers Chain Home radar station in June and July. The non-metallic wings had their control cables replaced by wooden push rods.
