This F-14 Tomcat downed a Libyan MiG-23 during the Gulf of Sidra incident 1989. The squadron didn't change: VF-32 Tomcatters!

159610 represents one of two VF-32 Tomcats to down Libyan MiG-23s on 4 January 1989. Red MiG Silhouettes were applied over the last number of the Modex. These were painted over prior to the homecoming. Note the different shade of gray over the seven.
