A3930 is the second R.E.8 built by TVAL in Wellington, New Zealand. The 'Harry Tate' is finished in the colours of IX Squadron, RFC, as flown in the winter of 1917. The aircraft will join the collection of the RAF Museum, Hendon.
Launched in 1971 by NASA and the US Army, the XV-15 project was to prove the tiltrotor design. Results were later used for the development of the V-22 Osprey.
